Probably because SMRT only had 90 buses to handover during the weekend (the other 4 have been transferred almost a month earlier), SBS has more than 100 buses each for both of the weekends to handover. Also because SBS probably doesn't want to spare that much resources going to Bulim to do the handover works on handover dates as compared to SMRT.

If it doesn't, TT will win hands down. They are trying very hard (perhaps too hard) to perfect their BSRF score. All they have to do is to apply the Kalamunda strategy (which they have just indicated they will).

If it does, then it all comes down to who can offer the lowest bid. Most, if not all bidders, already know how to check the quality boxes.

Like the masterchef analogy, TT has a very good advantage, and to a lesser extent, GA. Economies of scale advantage will probably mean their (including incumbents) bid prices will lower than 'virgin' operators, hand in hand with the fact that LTA is looking to lower overall costs.

Maybe 4 operators in the future - GoAhead, TTS, SMRT, SBST...base on the LTA figurines..

I got a feeling that seletar package would be taken by SMRT...SMRT A95 seen training on 811 route a few times(although training can take place anywhere)...

Agreed but again that is their demand and regulation unless TT/LTA adjust to suit the runtime..Nothing can be done much. Its not like the heydays where you can arrive 3-5 mins earlier mah..Now everything penalty..

If there's penalty for TTS svces, LTA might get fine for allowing bunch ups to occur on 106 icon_lol.gif

Anyway, visited BBT just now..happened to see many people, including TTS staff, recording the bus departure timing and loading. Not sure if it's a normal routine or it happens after the recent complain..

SMB1570A on 190 today..BC went to the outer lane (where 106 plies) when turning left from Somerset Road...then he turn right onto Orchard Link (so went through another ERP gantry)... suspect to catch up time coz the inner lane (usual route) got jam and BC was running late...

And, not sure if i see wrongly, i think TIB989E has DDU installed..like a glimpse of it but i cannot confirm... SMB5891Y installed with DDU...

  2. SBS8146L, SBS6606P, SBS6717C, SBS6729T,

  6. SBS8146L, SBS6606P.

I do not know what "split bus" means, but the data I collected shows that SBS6717C was only introduced at around 5:53pm, when the other buses on bus service 371 were doing their second trip during evening peak period.

LTA doesn't get fined. LTA fines the operator.

If I am more or less guaranteed to perfect my BSRF score and collect my incentive reward by going slow, and whether having an extra passenger onboard or not is not going to affect my revenue, tell me why should I adjust the running time to be faster and take unnecessary financial risk?

Plus I get to improve my chances to win future parcel tenders, which is heavily weighed against my BSRF track record.

I really cannot see Sungai Seletar coming under a local operator. Yes, LTA doesn't want to throw the incumbents under a bus but they have rail operations that make up for it. And ultimatley, the 9 remaining packages will go to them. What is also telling is that this package comprises an inordinate number of feeder/short-haul services (even the two new services are projected to be as such). So really, this is one easy package la. Ok you've got 24. Plus, it doesn't make sense with AMDEP so close.

I can bet you the third package will be even more competitive. What about RATP or Keolis? Or maybe some other UK operator like Abelio. They're all out there, we haven't run dry just yet.
